I grew up in St. Louis, Missouri, far from the tech world but always curious about it. When I got the chance to come to San Francisco, I took it. This city is where AI is actually being built, and I wanted to be in the middle of that.

I studied Business Analytics and Accounting at the University of San Francisco, where I met Mithran. What started as a class project turned into something neither of us expected. We started pulling government contracting data apart and found the same redundancies showing up everywhere. Qualified local businesses losing work to the same small group of contractors, not because they were less capable, but because no one had built the right tool yet.

A government official told us this could make a real impact. That was enough.

That moment is why you are looking at Munifi today. SF gave me the exposure I came for, and this city's own data gave us the problem worth solving.

I grew up in San Ramon watching San Francisco from across the bay. A city full of energy and problems worth solving. I wanted to be part of fixing them.

I studied Business Analytics with a minor in Computer Science at the University of San Francisco, where I met my co-founder Nish through a class project that eventually became Munifi. When we started pulling apart the data behind SF government contracting, we found something we could not ignore. Dozens of certified, qualified, local small businesses were getting passed over in favor of the same handful of large contractors, over and over again.

That is the problem we built Munifi to fix. And you could not pick a better place to fix it than right here.
